Battle of Plattsburgh Commemorative Weekend 2011

Once again, the Merganser and her crew will be participating in the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemorative event at Plattsburgh, NY on the weekend of September 10 and 11, 2011. This is one of our favorite events of the season and great fun all around.
At 11am on Saturday, we’ll be participating in the Batteau Race. Come support our endeavor not to be the last to cross the finish line! At 1pm on Sunday, we will participate in the reenactment of the 1814 Battle of Plattsburg, right in the same waters where the actual battle took place (though a little closer to sore so you can see the action). We will be spending most of the time either in camp or at the boat so come on up and say hello. If the weather is good, we might even unfurl the sails for a pleasure cruise around the bay.
